Description: The Eastern Redbud is one of the few Michigan native flowering trees. It can have a very irregular shape when it is young but forms a graceful rounded crown as it matures. It produces pink flowers on every bud in April or May before leaves emerge. Eastern Redbuds can have multiple trunks or more commonly one single trunk.
